Interactive notifications, Quick Reply in iOS 8

Apple Introduces Interactive notifications, Quick Reply in iOS 8

Interactive Notifications is also a great addition to Apple’s recently unveiled iOS 8. Earlier today, Tim Cook took over the take during the keynote at Moscone Center in San Franscisco, and announced Apple’s next major software update: iOS 8 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Apple has introduced an interactive notification feature in iOS 8 with amazing styles and features.Using this feature, you can reply to texts, email, calendar invitations, reminders, and even messages from apps like Facebook right from their notification banners — without leaving the app you’re in.In short, you simultaneously enter in new app while not leaving the last one.

Craig Federighi demonstrated this feature by showing pop message window in a locked screen on iPhone. Quick reply feature allows you to reply to a message without opening the messaging app. This is the most interactive feature in interactive notification, and was also the most demanding one too. Here I’d like to say that apple is unique in winning the trust of its valued customers.

You can see notifications of your Facebook app, and like or comments on pics without opening Facebook app, right from the interactive notifications center. so this one is a much relief for Facebook worms. Same is the case with calendar events, you can see Accept and Reject buttons in notification center and use your choice here without entering in calendar app.

Interactive notifcations allows you to respond or take actions against any interference without disturbing your current work. It means that while working, you will also be able to respond to your loved ones without disturbing your current work flow.

In iOS 8, you can take action on texts, email, calendar invitations, reminders, and even notifications from apps like Facebook right from their notification banners — without leaving the app you’re in. This makes it very convenient to quickly reply to important messages and keep doing what you were doing.

Messages: Quickly reply to a message without leaving an app.
Calendar invitations: Accept or decline an invitation to make your RSVP ASAP.
Mail: Take care of an email without leaving the screen you’re on.
Reminders: Mark reminders as complete, then get back to what you were doing.
Third-party apps: When developers update their apps, you’ll be able to reply to those notifications, too.

Registered Apple developers can download iOS 8 beta from the iOS dev center. General public will have to wait until this Fall to get their hands on iOS 8.
