Plenty of iPhone 6 mockups have been making rounds lately. We’ve seen iPhone 6 physical mockup in silver, gold and space grey. It got compared to an iPod Touch 5g and then we also posted iPhone 6 comparison with iPhone 5s to give you better look at how radical the change in new design is and how bigger the new iPhone looks against the current model. Folks over at 9to5mac has posted a video comparing iPhone 6 physical mockup with latest Android flagships – HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy s5
Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8 come with 5.1-inch and 5-inch displays sizes respectively, which makes them slightly bigger than the rumored 4.7-inch iPhone 6 variant. When HTC launched the HTC One smartphone back in 2013, it had the looks of an iPhone 5. If Apple goes with the rumored Aluminum back casing, the iPhone 6 will look even more similar to the HTC One M8. The worst thing about the iPhone 6 mockup is its antennas. HTC, however, did a great job there and covered the antennas quite elegantly. We hope Apple takes a similar approach to cover these ugly antenna cut-outs.
Two variants of iPhone 6 are expected this year. A 4.7-inch models rumored to launch in August and a 5.5-inch phablet that will follow shortly after that. iPhone 6 is expected to come in an ultra-thin design, narrower bezels, rounded edges and more. The next-generation iPhone will most probably be loaded with iOS 8 – Apple’s next major firmware update that Apple is going to unveil at WWDC 2014.
Other than the screen size and design changes, iPhone 6 specs include a new Apple’s A8 chip with 1GB RAM, fingerprint scanner, NFC chip and an improved 8-megapixel camera.
