As we all know iOS 7.1/7.1.1 jailbreak is not currently available. After Apple patched evasi0n7 with iOS 7.1, Pod2g had mentioned that they won’t spend time on developing an iOS 7.1 jailbreak. They wanted to keep the vulnerabilities they discovered for iOS 8 and didn’t want to use it for point updates such as iOS 7.1. However, now we finally have an update from Pod2ng for the eagerly awaited iOS 7.1 or 7.1.1 jailbreak.
We finally have an update on the eagerly awaited iOS 7.1.1 or iOS 7.1 jailbreak. Pod2g, a well known hacker and a member to team Evad3rs, has said that he is currently working on iOS 7.1 jailbreak, to the folks at iDB at WWJC.
Here’s what he said about the iOS 7.1 or 7.1.1 jailbreak:
Not today, and I don’t know about the future. I’ve started to look at it, and started to find some stuff. I think that something’s possible. It depends on when it happens—I mean if we have a jailbreak in one month, for sure we will release it. If it happens in 3 months, we might have to wait for iOS 8. But I’m definitely on it, definitely trying to find something.
Evasi0n7 was available to jailbreak iOS 7 only at the end of last year which means that if the evad3rs hold the jailbreak for iOS 8, it would mean a very long wait. Let’s hope Pod2g figures out the iOS 7.1 or 7.1.1 jailbreak soon.
WARNING: Any site claiming to have a jailbreak for iOS 7.1.1 or iOS 7.1 is a scam. Stay away from such scams or you might end up losing your money or running a malicious software on your computer. Legit jailbreaks for iOS are always available for free and we’ll report about iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak as soon as it’s out. So, stay tuned!
