New renders of what is claimed to be the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model has surfaced on the web this weekend. We’ve seen such drawings leaked before, but the different thing about these renderings is that these have been sourced straight from Apple’s primary supplier in China i.e. Foxconn.
The images has been published by Chinese site Wei Feng, via MacRumors. The web site says that they have received the images of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 renderings from a reliable source, which has successfully provided them with the authentic leaks about Apple products and other information in the past.
The device in the renderings measures 138.14 x 66.97 mm, which is inline with the previous rumors. It also follows the same schematic posted by MacFan last month. Based on this information, we have seen physical iPhone 6 mockup, and cases.
The alleged 4.7-inch iPhone 6 renderings matches with everything that we’ve seen in all the past leaks: the ultra-thin design, rounded corners, relocated power button on the top right hand side of the device for easier one-hand operation, en-longed volume rocker, and circular iSight flash. Two antenna breaks cut-outs on the back side of the phone can also be seen. Rumors have also indicated that the iPhone 6 may come in all-aluminum back casing instead of a glass one found in iPhone 5s.
In another leak, photos compared 4.7-inch iPhone to an iPod Touch 5G. The photos show a good look at the size and the design of the purported next-generation iPhone 6.
Apple is widely rumored to launch two different screen size models of iPhone 6. A 4.7-inch model that’s expected to launch as early as August, followed by a larger 5.5-inch variant in September. The rumored technical specs of iPhone 6 includes Apple’s new A8 processor with 1GB RAM, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, 8MP camera with improved lenses. iPhone 6 will come pre-installed with iOS 8, the next major firmware update for Apple’s mobile operating system.
