Few days back, winocm – the p0sixspwn developer, demoed an untethered iOS 7.1 jailbreak on iPhone 4 in a video. Now iH8sn0w, who also worked on p0sixspwn and owns popular jailbreak tools such as Sn0wbreeze and iREB, now confirms that iPhone 4S iOS 7.1 jailbreak has been achieved.
In a response to jailbreak status related question, iH8sn0w confirms that he has a working iOS 7.1 jailbreak for iPhone 4S. No further details are available about this iPhone 4S jailbreak. Unlike the previously reported iPhone 4 7.1 untethered jailbreak demo, it’s not even known if this iPhone 4S jailbreak for iOS 7.1 is tethered or an untethered one. It’s also not clear if the jailbreak will work of latest devices such as iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPad mini 2 or iPad Air.
@NGeary14 well my 4S is jailbroken on 7.1 atm.

Don’t put your hopes high and expect the jailbreak release anytime soon, as iH8Sn0w also tweeted that he doesn’t plan to work on an iOS 7.1 jailbreak. He also notes that there’s no public jailbreak available for iOS 7.1. So, avoid any website claiming that they have a jailbreak for iOS 7.1, they are nothing but scam. We’ll be the first to break the news if there’s any public jailbreak available for iOS 7.1.
@NGeary14 I don’t have any intentions of working on a 7.1/8 jb atm.

Other than iH8Sn0w, pod2g of the team evad3rs has also said that they won’t be working on an iOS 7.1 jailbreak. So it’s seems pretty obvious that most of the hackers are planning to preserve their exploits for a bigger iOS version such as iOS 8, which is expected to be released later this year.
