After the release of untethered iOS 7 jailbreak tool, iH8Sn0w and winocm has released an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 and iOS 6.1.5 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G. The untethered iOS 6.1.3/6.1.5 jailbreak has been released as a Cydia package named: p0sixspwn.
p0sixspwn requires your iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4G to be tethered jailbroken on iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 6.1.5 in case of iPod Touch 4G. Then from your tethered jailbroken device, user need to open Cydia and search for p0sixspwn. Once the user installs p0sixspwn on his/her tethered jailbroken iPhone 4/3gs or iPod Touch 4G, it’ll become an untethered jailbreak. Checkout more on tethered and untethered jailbreak.
So what you need is:
- A tethered jalbroken iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1.3 or and iPod Touch 4G running iOS 6.1.5 either using Sn0wbreeze of Redsn0w (We’ll be posting a detailed tutorial shortly).
- Go to Cydia > Changes > Refresh and wait for Cydia to reload the refreshed data
- Then search for “p0sixspwn” and install it.
That’s it! You’re untethered jilbroken on iOS 6.1.3/6.1.5. Don’t forget to tell us if p0sixspwn worked for you or you’re facing problems to achieved untethered jailbreak on your device.
Currently p0sixspwn supports only iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G on iOS 6.1.3 and iOS 6.1.4. If you don’t feel like upgrading your A5+ device to iOS 7, sit tight for a bit because an A5+ jailbreak for 6.1.3/6.1.4 will be out in a couple of days.
