Fix stuck on Apple logo, endless reboots iOS 7 Jailbreak evasi0n7

Fix stuck on Apple logo, endless reboots and more after iOS 7 Jailbreak evasi0n7

Yesterday, evad3rs surprised us by releasing an untetehred iOS 7 jailbreak dubbed a evasi0n7. The whole jailbreak community was eagerly waiting for an iOS 7 – iOs 7.0.4 jailbreak and evad3rs gave us a big surprise by releasing is without any prior announcement. Just like the previous jailbreak releases, it’s normal to encounter problems and error with the first release and the most popular among these problem is that the jailbroken iPhone iPad or iPod Touch gets stuck on Appl logo and endless reboot after using evsi0n7. If you had troubles jailbreaking your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, or your device is stuck on Apple logo, or has gone into endless reboots, here are some troubleshooting tips.

Many of our readers have reported that after using the evasi0n jailbreak, their device got stuck on Apple logo. The simplest answer to this problem is that any device updated OTA (over-the-air) will get stuck on Apple logo. We’ve clearly mentioned in the notes of all our guides that it’s recommended to perform a fresh restore via iTunes before jailbreaking your device with evasi0n7.

Here are our detailed evasi0n7 guides:

Jailbreak iPhone 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, 4 iOS 7.0.4 with Evasi0n
Jailbreak iPad mini 2, iPad mini iOS 7.0.4 – iOS 7 with evasi0n
Jailbreak iPad Air, iPad 4, 3, 2 iOS 7 – 7.0.4 with evasi0n7

General tips to fix various problems

  • First of all backup your personal data
  • fresh restore the device via iTunes before trying evasi0n.
  • Disable passcode before trying the jailbreak process.
  • Don’t use the device or the iTunes on computer during the jailbreak process.
  • If you have a 64-bit chipset device i.e. iPhone 5S, iPad Air and iPad mini 2, jailbreak tweaks will most probably create issues.

How to Fix stuck on Apple logo

First thing you can do is to perform a hard reset (Hold down power + home buttons until device reboots) and then retry the process. Still stick on Apple logo? evad3rs advises to backup your personal data and perform a clean restore to iOS 7.0.4 via iTunes. You can download iOS 7.0.4 and follow this guide to update to iOS 7.0.4.
Evad3rs will soon release an updated version of evasi0n to fix the stuck on Apple logo problem.

Taking too long?

If your device jailbreak process is taking too long or it’s stuck in the middle of the process, evad3rs team suggests that it’s safe to reboot your device, and evasi0n software on your computer and then retry the process.

If the process gets stuck somewhere, it’s safe to restart the program, reboot the device (if necessary by holding down Power and Home until it shuts down), and rerun the process.

Can’t open evasi0n on Mac?

You can fix this error by control-clicking (or right-clicking) evasi0n.app, select Open, and then again click Open in the dialog box that appears.

If you get an error on OS X 10.8 saying that evasi0n can’t be opened, control-click (or right-click) the app and on the revealed context menu, choose ‘Open.’ On the ensuing dialogue box, choose ‘Open’ as well.

Endless reboot loop

Endless reboots on a jailbroken device is usually caused by jailbreak tweaks not working properly. MobileSubstrate, a Cydia library most jalbreak depends on, has not been updated for evasi0n7 compatibility. It’s because the Cydia creator was not provided with a pre-release of evasi0n to make things compatible. Saurik and evad3rs say that there’ll soon be an update out to make things smoother.

Stuck on Activation Lock

Apple has introduced a new anti-theft feature in iOS 7. This feature asks for device owners’ Apple ID and password if the device is restored. Enter your Appl ID details, or if you’ve purchased the device from someone, ask him/her to remotely disable Activation Lock. There doesn’t seem to be a way to bypass this screen.
