AllThingsD, a Wall Street Journal owned blog has reported about Apple holding ipad event on October 22nd to introduce next generation of iPad, iPad mini 2 and to talk about OS X Mavericks. Apple has just sent out invites to select media members for its iPad event being held on October 22nd at the the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco.
The tagline on this iPad specific media event reads: “We still have a lot to cover.”
Apple is expected to unveil new iPad – the next generation full-size iPad 5, 2nd generation of iPad mini with Retina display, and other rumored announcements include OS X Mavericks, iWork software updates.
Rumored specs for iPad 5 includes an iPad mini inspired outer shell with narrow bezels, an A7 chip, 2GB RAM, 8 megapixels camera, lighter and thinner as compared to iPad 4 and possibly Touch ID fingerprint scanner. On the other hand, iPad mini 2 is expected to bring Retina display, an A7 chip, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel camera, and possibility the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. Both the devices are expected to come in three color options: gold, silver and space gray.
