As reported earlier, Winocm has an iOS 6.1.3 untethered jailbreak binary and is working on developing a publicly usable jailbreak. Later, we reported about iPhone 4S iOS 6.1.3 Jailbreak video. This time Winocm confirms that he has managed to successfully achieved iPhone 5 iOS 6.1.4 jailbreak…
Winocm tweeted a screenshot of an iPhone 5 (AT&T) running Cydia on iOS 6.1.4 firmware. Another screenshot clearly shows an iPhone 5 (Verizon) iOS 6.1.4 running Cydia jailbreak store. This clearly tells the story that both the AT&T iPhone 5 (GSM) and Verizon iPhone 5 (CDMA) has been jailbroken on iOS 6.1.4 firmware.
With jailbroken iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 and iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4 already jailbroken, it’s safe to assume that other iOS 6.1.3 supported devices such as iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 5G/4G will also be compatible with this jailbreak.
There’s no word on when the developer plans to release this jailbreak. With iOS 7 hitting masses in couple of weeks, an iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 seems little late to the scene but this, indeed, is a ray of hope for the jailbreak community especially those who have been waiting for iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 6.1.4 jailbreak for several months and it’s also good to have another developer in the iOS jailbreak scene.
Evad3rs are rumored to be working on iOS 7 jailbreak. Will you update to iOS 7 as soon as it’s out or will stay with iOs 6.1.3/6.1.4 and wait for Winocm’s jailbreak to come out?
