With Ryan Ptrick sharing screenshot of what appears to be a jailbroken iPod Touch running iOS 7 and P0sixninja announcing OpenJailbreak, many from the jailbreak community speculated that a new bootrom exploit exists. If you were one of those holding out hope for a newly discovered bootrom exploit for newer iOS devices, you’re going to have to keep hoping…
MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team has confirmed in a tweet that there is no A5+ bootrom exploit found by anyone. A bootrom exploit is the most desirable exploit in jailbreaking scence because it guarantees that your device could be permanently tethered jailbreak-able, just like limera1n for pre-A5 devices.
This is what MuscleNerd tweeted:
There is no A5+ bootrom exploit, by anyone. Not even a bootrom dump. Nothing.

So this tweet from MuscleNerd pretty much squashes the bootrom exploit speculation that started after a tweet from P0sixninja caliming that he would be releasing something bigger than a jailbreak. Not all hope is lost, though. In response to a question that if Apple has defeated jailbreakers, MuscleNerd said:
@MrShortFry Not even close 🙂
