iOS 7 Brings Call Blocking to iPhone

iOS 7, Apple’s latest mobile OS brings the much requested Call Blocking feature to your iPhone. Apple has added this new call blocking feature in iOS 7 that allows you to blacklist a number.

This small yet important feature will not only block phone calls from numbers that you’ve blacklisted, but text messages and FaceTime calls too. Apple didn’t discussed this new feature during the keynote apart from briefly mentioning in a media release that iOS 7 includes:

Phone, FaceTime and Messages blocking to prevent specific people from being able to contact you.

Previously call blocking on iPhone was only possible after jailbreaking it, but with iOS 7 installed you can easily block a number by going into the contact details. From there, click ‘Block this Caller’ button at the bottom. Now you’ve not only blocked the phone calls, but FaceTime calls and messages from that person as well.

If you want to get rid of spams calls from telemarketers, or have an ex who just won’t take no for an answer, you’ll find this feature very useful.
