IMPORTANT

Evasi0n supports iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.
Evasi0n supports iOS 6.1, iOS 6.0.2, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6. (You may check iOS version in Settings > General > About => Version)

How to Jailbreak iPhone 5, 4S, 4, 3GS iOS 6.1 with Evasi0n

NOTE: This guide applies to iOS 6.1, 6.0.2, 6.0.1, 6 firmware.

Step 1

First of all backup your personal data via iTunes or iCloud before proceeding.
Please disable the lock passcode of your iOS device before using evasi0n. It can cause issues.
Don’t start iTunes or Xcode while Evasi0n is running. The best is to not touch the computer until the end of the jailbreaking process.

Step 2

Make sure that your iPhone 5, 4S, 4, or 3GS is running any firmware version between iOS 6-iOS 6.1. A clean/fresh restore is always recommended if you want to jailbreak your device. Here’s how to update to iOS 6.1. Direct update is not recommended for UltraSn0w unlockers.

Step 3

Assuming that your device is running iOS 6.1-iOS 6, let’s begin the jailbreaking process…

Download Evasi0n and extract it.

Step 4 – Jailbreaking

Run the evasi0n and plug in your iPhone;
Evasi0n should detect your iPhone and the jailbreak button will be enabled;
Click the Jailbreak button to begin jailbreaking your iPhone;
Evasi0n will perform several jailbreaking steps including preparing jailbreak data, injecting jailbreak data, and will reboot the device;

After reboot it will upload stage 2, uploading Cydia, and uploading the Cydia packages list. The jailbreak process may take a few minutes, so be patient.

Once the above process is completed, you will see a screen asking you unlock your device. Once your device is unlocked, you should find a new icon called “jailbreak” on your iPhone’s home screen.

Tap this Jailbreak app icon (just once), and the screen will go black and then return to the Home screen.

Evasi0n will again process and show more message like injecting jb data messages, and Root Filesystem successfully remounted.

Once the iPhone jailbreaking process is completed, a “Done!” message will appear on evasi0n tool. Your device will now reboot. First time boot after jailbreak will take some time, so be patient. Your device may restart several times.

An evasi0n logo will appear on your screen and several messages will appear on your iPhone’s screen. Once the process is completed, your iPhone will boot to lock screen. Unlock your device and find the sweet Cydia icon on your springboard.

That’s it! you’ve succeesfully jailbroken iPhone 5, 4S, 4, 3GS running iOS 6.1-6

Troubleshooting

If the process gets stuck somewhere, it’s safe to restart the program, reboot the device (if necessary by holding down Hold and Home until it shuts down), and rerun the process.
If the device is stuck displaying “patching kernel”, you can press Power+Home for a long time to force a reboot.

i have iphone 4s unlocked via gevey ultra.can i update to 6.1?will it be unlock after that via gevey sim?or do i have any option to preserve baseband?

Hey guys ,
My iphone 3GS , I just restored IPSW 6.1 on it , when I try evasi0n it say the attached device is not activated you need to activate it before you can apply the jailbreak . any ideas ?? !!

had some problem with this ios 6.1 jailbreak. i just downgrade and got back with the 5.1. some apps in cydia dont work with the ios 6.1 good thing i saved my shsh blobs

great but my device is 3gs and it’s lock and i can’t jailbreak it because it’s showing window say you must active your device before jailbrak it , and i can’t active it

Began process, it said to continue swipe and press the jailbreak icon….. I saw NO jailbreak icon…. I have attempted this twice, and I have yet to see one… I find this a fail. Are there any other options?
