Apple has released iOS 6.1 beta 2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to developers. iOS 6.1 beta 1 was released back on November 1st. iOS 6.1 brings MapsKit improvements and other enhancements. You can download iOS 6 beta 2 from the iOS Dev Center.

iOS 6.1 beta 2 IPSW has a build number of 10B5105c. Apple says, in addition to tweaks like a new information card in the Passbook app, iOS 6 Beta 2 contains bug fixes and improvements over iOS 6.0.1.
Apple has also seeded iOS 6.1 beta 2 for the Apple TV 3G and Apple TV 2G. Just like the previous beta relase there’s not much information available about the changes and improvements in iOS 6.1 beta 2. Here’s what we know so far:
- Users are again able to download individual songs from iTunes Match
- Ability to book movie tickets using Siri
- The Panorama mode in the Camera app now works again
- Better Maps error reporting
- Slightly tweaked music controls on the lock screen
- Improved Map kit for searching in Maps for developers
Download iOS 6.1 beta 2
Registered iOS developers can download iOS 6.1 beta 2 for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Apple TV throught the Apple Developers web site. iOS 6.1 beta 1 users can upgrade to 2nd beta via over-the-air update. Today’s build expires on Friday, December 28.
