iOS 6 Beta 3 Released to Developers!

iOS 6 beta 3 is now available in iOS Dev Center. Apple has released the 3rd beta for its upcoming major iOS for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. iOS 6 beta 3 has a buil number 10A5338d. If you’re a registered iOS developer, you can download iOS 6 beta 3 from Apple’s iOS Dev center.

iOS 6 was unveiled by Apple during WWDC 2012 keynote. iOS 6 is claimed to bring 200+ new features to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch software. Some of these new features include: all-new 3D Maps app, a new Passbook app, improved Siri and Facebook Integration. Checkout: iOS 6 Features.

If you’re already running iOS 6 beta, you can easily update to iOS 6 beta 3 over-the-air (OTA). Beta 3 can also be downloaded from the iOS Dev Center as an IPSW file and restore using iTunes (requires your device’s UDID registered in developer’s account).

iOS 6 beta 3 supports following devices:

  • iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS
  • New iPad 3, iPad 2
  • iPod touch 4G

What’s New in iOS 6 beta 3

  • A new Maps section in Settings which lets you control unit labels (miles or kilometers), label sizes, and label language. Control for volume of turn-by-turn navigation.
  • Glyphs for bookmarks, reading list, and history in safari, instead of worded labels.
  • Safari on iPad has reading list sync icon.
  • Maps turns beta 3.
  • iCloud email addresses at @icloud.com, not only @me.com.
