iOS 6 Adds VIP Email Inbox and More to Mail App

Apple has announced iOS 6 at WWDC 2012 today. One of the new features in iOS 6 is the VIP inbox in your Mail app. VIP inbox allows you to separate special/important contacts emails from the other…

When you will receive an email from a VIP, you will be notified by an SMS-styles notification. VIPs have a start next to their names which will distinguish them from others.

In iOS 6 users will also be able to insert photos and videos inline in messages. This means you no longer have to initiate emails with pictures or videos from the Photos app.

iOS 6 also brings the pull to refresh feature to the Mail.app.

Redesigned with a more streamlined interface for easier reading and writing, Mail in iOS 6 lets you set up a VIP list so you’ll never miss an important message from your accountant, your boss, or your BFF.5 It’s even easier to add photos and videos to email messages. And to refresh your mailboxes, all you have to do is swipe down.

Despite these new features, the Mail.app is pretty much identical to its predecessor.

What do you think of VIP inbox and other improvements to the Mail app?
