Unlock iPhone 4S GSM iOS 5.1.1 with Gevey Ultra S

Apple has pushed iOS 5.1.1 and soon after that comes the great news for GSM iPhone 4S users who use Gevey Ultra S to unlock their iPhone. AppleNBerry has confirmed via their official twitter account that GEVEY Ultra S that works on iOS 5.1 can also unlock iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1.1 firmware.

The iOS 5.1.1 update not only brings a handful of bug fixes and improvements it also makes iPhone 4S jailbreak harder, but thanks to the Gevey Ultra SIM that user can unlock their iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1.1 without jailbreaking.

AppleNBerry, the official Gevey SIM online retailer has tweeted this:

Good news! If you are currently using GEVEY Ultra S GSM to unlock your GSM iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1, you CAN upgrade to iOS 5.1.1?

Please keep in mind that Gevey Ultra S is an unlocking solution for iPhone 4S which enables you to use SIM card from any carrier on your iPhone 4S. But, it’s not a jailbreak solution which means you cannot run any jailbreak tweak or app such as SBSettings, Winterboard and others

AppleNBerry has also mentioned that Ultra S can unlock iOS 5.1.1 on GSM iPhone 4S only. CDMA iPhone unlocking with Gevey Ultra S requires your iPhone to be jailbroken – which is not available for iOS 5.1.1 yet.

The fact that the Gevey Ultra S can unlock GSM iPhone 4S, without any need of a jailbreak, is a huge benefit to a lot of new unlockers, because users can benefit from the latest iOS even if there’s no jailbreak available for it.

If you have a GSM iPhone 4S and interested in Gevey Ultra S, you can purchase the GEVEY™ Ultra S from for $39.99 from AppleNBerry online store.

I want to unlock my verizon iphone to use on tmobile. Do i need the CDMA or GSM Gevey chip? Also, I thought the 4s is both GSM and CDMA so why are there separate chips?
