Dumped baseband bootrom is, indeed, a great progress on the iPhone 4S unlock. To those unfamiliar with terms like “bootrom” and “dump”, you should just know that it’s an update on the iPhone 4S unlock. With the baseband bootrom dumped, the Dev team is onto cracking other bits of the code in order to get the unlock ready for primetime.
The news comes four days after MuscleNerd said that a very promising iPhone 4S unlock is currently in the works. This iPhone 4S baseband unlock will probably be released in form of an updated version of the UltraSn0w.
Current solutions available for unlock includes UltraSn0w which supports older basebands and Gevey SIM unlock for iPhone 4.
Please note that this upcoming unlock will sport iPhone 4S only. There’s no ETA for this unlock. We’ll update you as we know more about this upcoming iPhone 4S baseband unlock.
