Add iOS 5 Settings Shortcuts on iPhone Home Screen

With no untetehred iOS 5 jailbreak and no jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2, many are using iOS 5 settings shortcuts to quickly access iPhone settings without any need of a jailbreak. Designer Jeff Broderick has created some beautiful icons with pre-made shortcuts to your iPhone iOS 5 settings.

These pre-made Settings Shortcuts offers one-tap shortcuts to Settings like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HotSpot, Brightness, Airplane Mode, Notifications, Location, VPN, Equalizer, iCloud and Network settings panels. These shortcuts can be used to quickly navigate to specific areas in iOS 5 Settings. Broderick designed a total of 11 icons of the most popular shortcuts which can be added to your home screen directly from his website (Steps below).

You can add Broderick’s Settings panel shortcuts directly to your homescreen from Mobile Safari:

*** This is more of a workaround for iPhone 4S, iPad 2 users and non-jailbroken users running iOS 5. If you’re jailbroken you should checkout SBSettings available in Cydia.

  1. Simply point your mobile Safari to: brdrck.me/settings;
  2. Tap on the desired Settings icon you want to add to your iPhone home screen;
  3. Now choose to Install Shortcut.
