iPhone 4S Jailbreak Confirmed by MuscleNerd

iPhone 4S is Jailbroken! Yes, you read it right. MuscleNerd confirms that the Dev-Team has achieved a very preliminary iPhone 4S jailbreak. He has posted a screenshot of Cydia running on iPhone 4S, though a lot of work is yet to be done for the public release of the jailbreak.

Here’s what MuscleNerd tweeted:

“VERY preliminary 4S JB: http://twitpic.com/76vcp4 http://twitpic.com/76vct2 (Huge missing pieces prevent public release. LOTS of work left)”

The 4S jailbreak is at its early stages, it’d take more time to go public. Many things are broken in the code at the moment so, the iPhone 4S jailbreak will take more time to hit masses.

Apple’s iPhone 4S was launched on October 14th and many of you have been asking about iPhone 4S jailbreak. Thanks to the Dev-Team that Now, we can firmly say that there will be an iPhone 4S jailbreak.

MuscleNerd also confirms that the exploit used in this iPhone 4S jailbreak is userland. Since iPad 2 and iPhone 4S has the same A5 process, expect a jailbreak for both devices running iOS 5. Here’s a short demo of iPad 2 jailbreak on iOS 5, posted by Musclenerd:

There’s no word on whether this jailbreak is going to be tethered or Untethered and of course, no ETA for the jailbreak.

Chronic Dev Team is also working hard to bring untethered iPhone 4S jailbreak and iPad 2. Like any other iPhone 4S and iPad 2 owner, we are anxiously waiting for an iPhone 4S and iPad 2 jailbreak.

FYI.. Userland JB’s are always untethered. They are loaded after iBoot witch means that even if they haven’t found a vulnerability in iBoot (witch makes a jailbreak tethered) it doesn’t matter.
