I was able to jailbreak my 3GS. however, after unlocking the phone with cydia, I am not able to get the carrier to show up on my phone, the current baseband is 05.16.02. Any info on how to go about this will be helpful. Thanks

I then fixed that error with TinyUmbrella and updated the iOS. Now my Iphone 3gs BB 6.15 version 4.3.1 is stuck is Black Recovery Mode. I think my phone is bricked and my OS seems fried .

I think 4.3.3 is not a good update and not thoroughly tested.

I was able to fix the issue with a software called “fixrecover”
I don’t have the link. I used it on the mac, not 100 % sure if it’s on the PC. basically there is some issue with 4.3.3 and my iphone 3GS bb 16.15 was stuck in DFU mode after installing the custom firmware.

So I downgraded to 4.1 (as I have saved in tinyumbrella) and then fixrecover and upgrade back to 4.3.3 and it worked out . Hope this help someone with the same issue.
