How to Jailbreak iPhone 4.3.1 Using Sn0wBreeze 2.5 [Untethered]

Sn0wBreeze 2.5 is out to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 untethered on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, 3G, and iPad 1, Apple TV 2G. These are the steps to jailbreak iiPhone 4.3.1, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.3.1 firmware with Sn0wBreeze 2.5.

Sn0wbreeze, just like PwnageTool, creates a custom firmware to jailbreak iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on iOS 4.3.1 and also preserves iPhone baseband so you may unlock iPhone using UltraSn0w. But unlike PwnageTool, Sn0wbreeze works under Windows environment only.

Note: iPad 2 is NOT jailbreakable ATM. iPod Touch, iPad users and those iPhone users who do not depend on UltraSn0w unlock should go for RedSn0w jailbreak. Mac Users can use PwnageTool and RedSn0w. All Guides are here:

Let’s jailbreak iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.3 firmware using Sn0wbreeze jailbreak.

How to Jailbreak iPhone 4.3.1 Using Sn0wBreeze 2.5

Step 1

Download the required stuff linked below and put them on your desktop.

Download iOS 4.3.1 for your device.
Download Sn0wBreeze 2.5
Download Sn0wBreeze (All versions New & Old)
Download iTunes 10.2.1 and install it.

Step 2

Run the Sn0wBreeze.exe. Hit Ok and then Close Credits button. and then hit the next button.

Step 3

Either drag & drop the iOS 4.3.1 firmware file in the given drop-box on Sn0wbreeze window or hit the Browse button and select the downloaded iOS 4.3.1 IPSW file for your iDevice.
Sn0wBreeze will identify the IPSW firmware file. When done, hit the next button.

Step 4

Now select the Expert Mode and Hit next button.
Then select General.

Step 5

iPhone Users:

**If you depend on unlock make sure Activate The iPhone [Hacktivate] option is checked/selected.
Then keep hitting Next.

Step 6

Now select the Build IPSW option and hit next.
Sn0wBreeze will start building custom firmware to jailbreak your iPhone 4, 3GS, idevice. Since the building process takes several minutes to complete, you can either choose to play PacMan or stick with the Spinner.
Once Done! Hit the OK button. (Custom firmware can be found on desktop)

Step 7

Now follow the on screen instructions to put your iDevices into Pwned State. Sn0wBreeze instructions are important to follow because this will put iDevice into Pwned DFU state NOT the simple DFU mode.

Hold Power + Home buttons for 10 seconds
Now release the Power button but keep holding the Home button for 10-30 more seconds
Your device should now be in DFU mode

Sn0wBreeze will prompt you once you’re into Pwned DFU state.

Step 8

Now open iTunes, Hold down the Shift key and hit the Restore button.
Browse and select the custom firmware that we just created, from the desktop.

iTunes will start restoring iOS 4.3.1 on your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch/Apple TV 2G. Once the restore process is complete, your device will be running iOS 4.3.1 jailbroken.

Unlock iOS 4.3.1

Unlock iOS 4.3.1 with UltraSn0w 1.2.1

I have an Iphone 3gs with ios 4.2.1 and BB 06.15b.
I first jailbroke it with redsn0w 0.9.6b5 (tethered) and then I unlocked it using ultrasn0w 1.2 from Cydia.

Can I now update it to 4.3.1 custom IPSW then jailbreak it with snowbreeze and then unlock it with ultrasnow?

  Yes you cna use a custom 4.3.1.. but UltraSn0w is broken @4.3.1.. Dev-Team is already on it.

Everything went perfectly until i can’t have my calls.

now baseband has been updated when downgraded to 4.3

is there a way to downgrade baseband back to 5.07.11

i have all the shsh blobs from 3.1.2

is there any hope at all?

I used sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 on my iphone 4, to upgrade from jb 4.1 to jb 4.3.1. Everything went fine, but I experience the issue with one signal bar.

I don’t depend on an unlock. My baseband is 02.10.04

Should I:

- restore a stock 4.3.1 to get the latest baseband and re-apply jb with sn0wbreeze?

or

- use ultrasn0w 1.2.1 from cydia to fix the one bar issue (the guides say it does not support my baseband, but is this unlocking or just fixing the one bar issue)?

bb 6.15 unlocked with ultrasnow

so first…
i need to update to 4.3.1
THEN? jailbreak it?

I just JB my Iphone 4 from iOS 4.2.1 to 4.3.1 with sn0wbreeze. Works like a charm the first try.

My BB is 0.3.10.01. Thanks to Ih8sn0w for the JB.

Hi everybody,
my iphone is: 3gs 16gb, iso 3.1.3 ; baseband 05.12.01, Jailbreacked and unlocked…

please tell me somebody -what i have to do when I try to jailbreak to iso 4.3.1, the snowbreeze asks me if it creates or not for me “ipad baseband 06.15.00″??

if choose don’t creat to the baseband 06.15.00 my baseband rimain as before 15.12.01 and can I unlocke it with ultrasnow 1.2.1????

I have a 3GS which had 4.1 and 06.15.00 baseband (jailbroken with Redsn0w and Unlocked with Ultrasn0w). I upgraded it successfully to 4.3.1 using Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1. The upgrade worked flawlessly. Then I proceeded to upgrade Ultrasn0w to 1.2.1. My 3GS is now unlocked (again). Thanks to all the folks who bring us these great tools to allow us to use our iPhones as should be!

i have iphone 4 running ios 4.0 not factory unlocked and model firmware 1.59.00 and i want to upgrade to ios 4.3.1 if i upgrade it will i be able to unlock my iphone from the above method i just dont wanna b hanged plz help and answer me

  I also get this error, already tried the suggestion of adding gs.apple.com on the host file using notepad and none of the 2 links provided worked, is there another one?

i am using ipod 4 8Gb, i have follow the thing after device off, and restore the ios, there is failed.

1. when i am not connect to internet show with this message
” because update server cannot be contact ” ( i was restor from file the i have download from your link ).

2. if i connect to internet show with this message ” ipod cannot be restore. an erroe occured (3194)”

This is what i did for IPHONE 4.. It is a summary of what the video is about.

This is what i did so I find this beneficial if it can help anyone

Go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
>Right click hosts
>Change properties to read,write,execute (chmod 777)
>Add this line to the bottom. [# 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com]
save it..

>Download sn0wbreeze-v2.7.3 from :[http://hotfile.com/dl/117635913/97ab504/sn0wbreeze-v2.7.3.zip.html]

>use sn0wbreeze-v2.7.3 to create a new IPSW
>use itunes to SHIFT-RESTORE, PLEASE USE SHIFT-CONTROL to use this newly created ipsw by sn0wbreeze-v2.7.3
