     yes you can change it. You can use pwnage tool 4.3.1 off of the dev team blog to make the baseband 06.15.00

   just need to know, did the jailbreak via redsnow. how long does it take for the “downloading jailbreak data” process is going to take? mine stuck at this process each time for more than half hour.

   Ive tried jailbreak my iphone 4. Upgraded to ios 4.3.1, but when i try to jailbreak it gets stuck at Uploading Ramdisk… Someone help please….

     open redsnow …just before u browse hold control alt delete to start task manger. Right click on redsnow to change afinity to CPU one then continue on with the process

   My iPhone 3gs on Windows is stuck at “Installing Activation Bundles”…it just hangs for several minutes and then the phone turns off, turns back on and the “plug into itunes” icons show up….Itunes wants me to restore the phone, but it always returns with an error…I’m stuck, please help!

   i downloaaded the firmware for the ipod touch 3g and then when you have to browse for the firmware before you click next to install cydia, i go to the file and there is nothing in the file?:/

     hola saludos a todos presnto el mismo problema que algunos descargo el firmware pero al darle a buscar con el itunes no essta , esta es un archivo rar o zip, y al descomprimir dos carpetas , he leido algunas soluciones pero no las se hacer, deben tratar de ser mas especificos en las explicaciones por favor alhgunos no somos tan tecnicos y metodicos como uds en este conocimiento, gracias espero una respuesta clara y precisa

    Need Help..pls.. i am currently running a jailbroken ipad 3.2.2. I want to upgrade to firmware 4.3.1.. and continue to jailbreak it…

    am using windows 7 (Genuine) and i have downloaded the RedsnOw 0.9.6rc12 and the snowbreeze 2.5 along with the custom ipsw file ios 4.3.1 for ipad.

    when i run the redsnow and/or the snowbreeze and search for the ipsw file under the given search options , the ipsw file is not detected so i cant proceed to upgrade…any help here please…

    i Have a 3rd gen ipod touch and so i have downloaded the ipsw for 4.3.1 from above but when it saves it is in zip format. I have tried unzipping it but that just extracts the file that are inside the zip. how do i convert it to .ipsw format?

      I had the same problem, where the redsnow could not find the firmware. I’ve solved this problem by changing the file extension from .zip to .ipsw. you will find that the icon of the file will change and then the jailbreak will go smoothly. hope this will help

    I download redsn0w and 4.3.1 firmware from this site.
    I already have install to my iphone 4 the latest firmware 4.3.1
    when i start redsnow and I hit browse it’s not finding my firmware, not even on the file that I download from here.
    what can I do?

        Change Your File at last like : Iphone2,1_4.3.1_8G4_Restore.ipsw

        And don’t keep it like .zip or .rar etc.

          To change the extension you right click on the file and choose rename, highlight the extension and change it from zip to ipsw.you will be asked if you are sure say yes and that’s it (this is for Win.-never open the zip)

    i have iphone 4 running ios 4.0 not factory unlocked and model firmware 1.59.00 and i want to upgrade to ios 4.3.1 if i upgrade it will i be able to unlock my iphone from the above method i just dont wanna b hanged plz help and answer me

      i believe its always wise to do some home work on any subject as major as having an unlock on your iphone 4. google the subject(ex.iphone 4 ios 4.3.2 unlock) -you will get a lot of info- also try thebigboss.com -they have compiled a table with all idevices and what application can be used.if there is no unlock yet it will say so- good luck

    i been tryin to jailbreak my iphone 3 gs 4.3.1 but when i download the proper firmware for the phone i cant see it when i browse with redsnow. i see the folder but not the firmware.i am using vista and i ran redsnow under xp compatabilty any help plz

      For everyone who is downloading firmware and then not being able to find the file, I have the solution.
      When you click on the link to download the firmware file, you will get a dialogue box asking if you want to save the file or open it. You want to save it. You might need to click a down arrow to pull up the ‘Save as’ option. Click “Save as”. Another box will appear for you to save the file. Change the file type from ‘.zip’ to ‘all files’. Now when it downloads it will automatically save the file as ‘Apple Device Software Update File’. There should be no problem finding the file now. Hope this helps!! Tooks me hours to figure it out! I don’t want anyone else to suffer like I did.

    i thought apple stopped making updates for 3g and and stopped at 4.2.1 ???? above there is 3g upadte 4.3.1

    whats the story?? need to know rapid. since i updated mine to 4.2.1 the wireless works when it feels like it. driving me mad so i may downgrade or use the update above ?

    I Have Downloaded d firmware from here, for my i phone 3gs: ios 4.3.1.

    now, d extention is .ipsw, i cross checked, also, the icon is the apple firmware upgrade icon..

    redsnow says it does not recognize d file!
    downloaded d same file twice, d same error..

    someone please help me with dis.. i’ve been waiting for using this phone, and now that it finally is in my hands, d jailbreak is causing d problem..
