Jailbreak iPod Touch 4G, 3G, 2G iOS 4.2.1 Untethered with Greenpois0n RC5

This guide is on how to jailbreak iPod Touch 4G, 3G, 2G iOS 4.2.1 untethered with Greenpois0n RC5. Greenpois0n RC5 can jailbreak iPod Touch 4G, 3G, 2G untethered on iOS 4.2.1 firmware. Greenpois0n untethered jailbreak does not require SHSH blobs for iOS 4.2b3.

IMPORTANT

Greenpois0n recommends a clean iOS 4.2.1 restore.
Tethered 4.2.1 redsn0w Jailbreakers can just run greeenpois0n over it for untethered jailbreak (restore only if you have problem).
If you’ve RedSn0w Jailbreak Monte, please restore iOS 4.2.1 first.
Greenpois0n can jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 iDevices out of the box.
Greenpois0n RC 5 supports iPhone 4, 3GS (any bootrom), iPod Touch 4G, 3G, 2G (any bootrom) and iPad

How to Jailbreak iPod Touch 4G, 3G, 2G 4.2.1 Untethered with GreenPois0n RC5

Step 1

Download Greenpois0n RC5
Download iOS 4.2.1 (in case you need to restore)

Step 2

If you’re already running iOS 4.2.1, skip to the next step.

Connect your iPod touch 4G, 3G, or 2G to your computer via USB cable and restore iOS 4.2.1.

Step 3

Rest of the steps are exactly similar to the guide posted here:

I need help I restored and did the greenpois0n 4x and everything goes good until I try to install cydia. it install up to 45 or 49 percent and then it say running out of disk space. What do I do?.

    On rc5 I have a iPod touch 2G 32Gb MC model. The fouth time cydai did open but there’s nothing in sections and nothing in manage. Home page for cydai opens but there’s nothing in featured or themes. Please help me?

  You have to put it on there. it doesn’t come with it. First go to Cydia. then go to sources. Then edit and add. and punch in- “http://cydia.hackulo.us”. Then go to search and search for installous. Then install it

Hi i have a 4th generation ipod touch on 4.2.1 and after i jailbroke it with green poison RC5, it had the loader app but not the installer app. And when i opened up the loader, cydia was not there to install!! Help!!!!!!!

hello

I restored and did the greenpois0n rc5 jailbreak and everything goes good until I try to install cydia.i can t connect to the network .i ve tried different networks via wifi with no result. i ve tried also ” reset network settings” and still the same problem . what should i do ? i jail-broke but then when i went to the loader and clicked cydia it said that cydia has already been installed.. so i clicked on the cydia app and all it does is nothing.. it wont open up at all .. what should i do ?? please help

snowbreeze was the only jailbreaker that worked for me. after several attempts with greenpoison and redsnow, finally discovered snowbreeze. I used 2.2.1 on my ipod touch 2g mc model

YO YO YO. i know you probaly won’t reply to this but I NEED HELP. I just jailbroke my ipt 2g and downloaded cydia, but when i open cydia it says “This version of Cydia is no longer supported” Please help is there anyway to fix it?
