Download RedSn0w 0.9.7 beta – Untethered iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak
RedSn0w 0.9.7 beta to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 untethered is now available for download. You can download RedSn0w 0.9.7b from below. It’s the backup plan for the Untethered jailbreak which required iOS 4.2 beta 3 SHSH blobs. Currently the Redsn0w 0.9.7b is Mac OS X only and limited to iPhone 4, iPad, and iPod touch 4G.
Important
- This is a beta tester program. It’s not a general release! Things can go very wrong, so please don’t even consider testing if you have pictures or other media on your device that you haven’t backed up!
- For the same reason, please don’t participate if you rely on the ultrasn0w carrier unlock. Wait for the final version!
- Until we fix some sandbox issues with bluetooth, the bluetooth functionality is disabled.
- This very first beta1 is limited to iPhone4, iPad, and iPod touch 4G.
- Cydia must have your 4.2b3 SHSH blobs saved on file. (As we approach a general release, we’ll provide a way to let you use locally saved hashes too).
- You must already have the usbmuxd software installed and running on your Mac (this requirement will eventually go away too). The correct invocation of the relay is just as that page says: “./tcprelay.py -t 22:2222”. If the relay isn’t installed or running correctly by the time the redsn0w ramdisk has started, you’ll need to restore to stock FW again to try it again. Please test it beforehand to save yourself some time!

First, thx all people which try to help us in use iPhone Jailbreak and Unlock.
But, this is not good solution now, cause, you must have jailbreak, then save SHSH and it is works only on MAC, guys, it is better for you that dont release that versions, cause many people dont know how to JB 3.1.2 and this tool is so hard to install and exist chance after install with many problems after.

I tried many times but software will not work on an imac running os X, it is only for intel based imacs beware as i have spent hours trying to figure this out……..
i am having so much trouble running the ‘monte’ it keeps telling me that the .ispw is invalid, when it clearly states the ‘b3′ version in cydia! help!!!

Step 1: Connect your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Backup iPhone database. The method is
very simple: Use the USB cable to connect the the iPhone with the computer, then open the
available iTunes 10.1.1, right click the iPhone icon in the left, and then in the pop-up
menu, select “Backup” to start.
Step 2: Now start Redsn0w 0.9.7b5 and point it to the official iOS 4.2.1 .IPSW file.
Step 3: In the next page, check on “Jailbreak Monte” which untethers your iOS 4.2.1
jailbreak then point it to iOS 4.2 beta5 firmware (Google it if you don’t have a
developer account).
Step 4: Select “Install Cydia” when jailbreak;
Step 5: Finished. Put your iOS device in DFU Mode using instructions:
To do this:
1. While holding down the Power and below the circle button Home, after about 5-8
seconds, the screen goes black;
2. Do not release the circle button Home, just release the Power, wait about 5 seconds
let the Home button go.
Step 6: Sit back and let Redsn0w go in bunch of steps and you’ll finally get untethered
jailbreak on your new-generation iOS device.
That is all.
