I updated my iOS firmware to 4.2 and my baseband is now 6.15.00. I was able to jailbreak my iphone and installed ultrasn0w successfully. However, my iphone can’t still recognized my other sim cards from other networks. Can someone help me with this issue? There’s always a pop up on my iphone that no sim card is installed.. Thanks in advance. More power.

I ran my red snow jailbreak not by “run as administrator”. I just simply open it. What will be the results or problems I will encounter on my iphone when I ran the redsnow not by “run as administrator”? I am thinking this might be the reason why my phone can’t still recognized another sim even after jailbreaking with redsnow and unlocking with ultrasnow. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Yes I read the limitations, and am ready to accept it.
        I just want to know if this UltraSn0w 1.2 will unlock my iPhone 3G – 4.1 – baseband: 05.14.02.
Anyway, that is the only solution I found around to unlock it.

use a custom firmware with sn0wbreeze and ireb then just install ultrasn0w after that. simple and works. if you get no service bars then you must enable then disable airplane mode and wait. if still no hope disable 3g and then turn airplane mode on/off and wait for the magic bars

          http://www.iphoneheat.com/2011/10/jailbreak-ios-5-with-redsn0w/
Steps are same for 4.2.1 except it’s untetehred for 4.2.1… which means no need to tether boot..
          then unlock with UltraSn0w

but the thing is even i follow the steps how to jailbreak then unlock, still it is not successful. do you have any idea on what is the probable cause why after unlock via ultrasnow, still no signal from carrier.
