TinyUmbrella has just been updated to version 4.1.13 with iOS 4.2 beta 3 support for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Saurik has already enabled caching 4.2b3 SHSH blobs via Cydia. It’s the first time that SHSH blobs are being saved for a beta release.
Significance of iOS 4.2b3 blobs is yet unknown, however, Notcom and iH8Sn0w has this to say:
iH8Sn0w: Looks like @saurik started caching 4.2 beta 3 for untetherness on 4.2 gm. 🙂 —
Notcom: I would recommend getting your 4.2b3 SHSH as a ‘just-in-case’ measure.
Since the iOS 4.2 release is imminent, we strongly recommend you to save SHSH blobs for iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2b3 before Apple stops signing these firmware. TinyUmbrella Download link and step by step instructions can be found below.
Note: you can (only) save SHSH for the latest (overall) firmware. What you have installed (or don’t) is irrelevant.
