GreenPois0n, the iOS 4.1 Jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad [Coming 10/10/10]
Chronic Dev team has confirmed that GreenPois0n, the SHAtter based iOS 4.1 jailbreak will be out on 10th October 2010 at 10:10:10 a.m GMT. GreenPois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 will feature the low-level bootrom exploit found by the Pod2g to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch 4G.

Supported Devices
According to the Chronic Dev Team, Greenpois0n will jailbreak iOS 4.1 on A4 processor + iOS based devices only. Which includes:
- iPhone 4
- iPod Touch 4G
- iPad
- Probably the AppleTV 2 as well. (Apple TV 2G is vulnerable to the SHAtter exploit)
For rest of the devices, Chronic Dev team says:
To clarify, the reason it does not work on non-A4 devices (iPhone 3GS, 3G, iPod Touch 3G, 2G) is not because we are lazy, but simply because it can’t be exploited on them.

there is a jailbreak coming by GEOHOT that jailbreak all devices. on 10/11/10. and u can use that jailbreak to jailbreak but try to use greenposi0n maybe it will work only for you

The Chronic Dev Team should have been made it perfectly clear that the SHAtter exploit would not work on non-A4 devices the first time they find out about it. So what to the rest of us do who can’t use Sn0wBreeze or GreenPois0n to jailbreak? This applies to anyone who can’t acquire old SHSH blobs and anyone else who has posted a question but has not gotten an answer on how to get around iTunes errors even though the guide said it would work (ex. 4.1 on 2G MB).
You guys are whiners. There are other ways of hacking 3G. You can downgrade it and then use Umbrella and figure it out.

I have an iPod touch 2g mc model running 4.1. Just wondering if I can jailbreak my device. I have tried snowbreeze but keep getting stuck. When ireb starts says “waiting for ibss” and freezes there everytime. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to jailbreaking so help would be great. Thanks
