Planetbeing has released the Android for iPhone 3G and is now available for download. He has also written instructions on how to install android on iPhone 3G.
With the Android OS for iPhone 3G released, now we have android ported to both iPhone 3G and iPhone 2G. Next is iPod Touch and iPhone 3GS Thanks to the Planetbeing and the other contributors to the project.
This Android port to iPhone 3G is still not recommended for day to day use because it lacks power management implementation and as a result the iPhone 3G battery, while running Android, lasts for about an hour.
If you’re still interested in installing Android on iPhone 3G, download Android binaries for iPhone from below and follow the instruction to install it. You’ll end up with a dual-boot iPhone (See the screenshots below). In order to switch between Android and iPhone OS you’ll need to reboot it.
NOTE: Your iPhone MUST be jailbroken in order to install android on it. So jailbreak your iPhone using the guides linked below if you haven’t done yet.
