   When I restore my iphone 3g using the 3.1.3 firmware that was downloaded from itunes, its doing fine but when i use the custom firmware from here and I followed all given instruction, it results to 1604 error code….

       I am having Iphone 3gs 32 GB – 3.1.2 – 05.11.07-Serial number – 859428B83NR. I was using Blackra1n for jailbreak and then black snow for unlock. But i made the mistake of using Spirit on my phone. So now it doesn’t boot. I tried to restore to 3.1.2 using this custom firmware.

       But it didn’t work. Even though i tried setting up the local restore verification server.

       I had created the SHSH files yesterday morning only, so i am not also sure abt whether they are correct.
       So i just want to restore my iphone 3gs to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 with modem as 05.11.07 so i can use blackra1n or spirit for jailbreak and blacksn0w for unlock.

     without SHSH you cannot restore 3.1.2 on 3GS..

   Hello ive been having this problem for a while. I have a 3g iphone that i reset to factory default now its asking me for the origional sim that i dont have sooo, ive been messing round for ages trying to find a solution so here goes.

   I have windows 7 downloaded this iPhone1_2_3.1.3_7E18_Custom_Restore_Activated.zip.001 and used that hj split which turned it to a .zip file ( and 2 others with same result=nothing) i need a .ispw file why dos this keep happening to me. btw this 104mb .zip would not run in winzip i also tryed to rename it but that failed in itunes PLZZ help

     you can’t use Spirit jailbreak.. coz on already jailbroken device, Spirit conflicts and iPhone stuck at boot screen.

     You better stay with 3.1.2.. there’s nothing new in 3.1.3

   I have a 3gs with 3.1.3, unknown baseband but newer bootromn. my phone now’s stucked on emergency calls, so is not activated. Since my main problem is that i dont have imei/baseband/iccid/wifi/etc i was wondering if your cfw will work on new bootrom just to activate my phone, so i can use it as an ipod for the moment. thank you.

     Only solution for new bootrom at 3.1.3 is Spirit jailbreak and it requires you to have access to the Home screen..

    Hi, I have a 3Gs 3.1.2 baseband 5.11.7 Unlock and jailbroked it was working fine until last friday when I up date my iTunes. Now my phone doesn’t work I tried everthink but I don’t restore to 3.1.3 yet.

    I was almost instaling the oficial 3.1.3 and will wait for the unlock but now that I found your custom firmware I hope it will solve my problem.

    If I install your custom firmware I’ll have an iPhone unlocke and joailbroke?

      what’s the problem with ur phone now?
      CFW for 3GS sometimes doesn’t work and give you errors while restoring and there’s no iREB support to fix those errors

        When I try to jailbreak using Blackra1n the GeoHot picture apears and after a long time it reboots and starts again. It goes while the phone is conected to PC and the Blackra1n is open.

    I have an iPhone 3GS, fw 3.1.3, bb 05.12.01 and new bootloader. I am stuck at the emergency screen because I don’t have the official carrier to activate. I know there is no unlock for bb 05.12.01 so for the moment I only want to be able to use my iDevice as an iPod. For this I thought I could use a custom fw already activated. But I have few questions about the process:
    1. Will I be able to write a custom fw to my iPhone considering I have the new bootloader?
    2. After I write the activated custom fw, when iPhone will boot and after that will show the springboard? (skipping the activation screen)?
    3. If the answers for 1 and 2 is yes, which cfw should I use?

      unlock depends on ur baseband..
      05.12.01 is not unlockable atm.. but 05.11.07 can be unlocked with blacksn0w

        my baseband is 05.11.07 as i have been able to downgrade, what’s strange is that,voice mail icon comes up but the carrier and the signal indicator are all just little dots.
        i have tried both.

    Mine is 3gs 3.1.2 5.11.07, I lost wifi, service, IMEI, Bluetooth one day, I reset network settings but in vain then I reset all contents and settings. From that time onward Iphone is stuck in 10 minutes cycle of apple logo coming and going. Tried to restore it to 3.1.2 but Apple says “the device is not eligible for the requested build” Plz advice should I try to update it to CFW 3.1.3 and will I be able to unlock it? Forecast doest not give any information on Firmware etc

      and make sure you save SHSH blobs for OS 3.1.3 using firmware umbrella..

      Spirit is the only untethered solution for you (OS 3.1.3, 3.1.2).. but the down side is, Spirit do not play well with Blackra1n jailbroken devices so avoid it..
      on the other hand CFW sometimes gives error during restore and there’s no iREB support for 3GS to fix those errors.

      So, best thing for you is to save SHSH blobs for OS 3.1.3 using Firmware Umbrella and wait for the baseband 05.12.01 unlock to come out.. then go for OS 3.1.3

    Hi..i have a 3GS on firmware 3.1.3 05.12.01 jailbroken with SPIRIT and unlocked with sn0wbreeze..all worked well until I decided to put it in its factory settings (stupid me) now it’s stuck in DFU mode and everytime I connect to iTunes it says I should restore and upgrade to OS4 (I didn’t approve this).             FYI, my iPhone 3GS 16GB specs: 05.12.01, 3.1.3

            Here’s my steps of getting this far:
            1.Created my 3.1.3 ECID.shsh file using AutoSHSH
            2.Jailbroken it using SPIRIT
            3.Unlocked it with sn0wbreeze 0.92
            4.Erase All Content and Settings (which made my iPhone stuck in DFU/recovery mode)

            Is there anyway I can put it back to 3.1.3 factory settings?

            IF I follow iTunes and restore it also upgrading its software to iOS4, will the jailbreak and unlocking tools be soon released?

    My problem seems impossible to resolve as I have updated my iPhone 3G (16Gb) to 4.0 through iTunes, then tried downgrading to 3.1.3 (pwnage Activated) Now I have no IMEI/Baseband/Bluetooth/Wifi addresses in About!?     I have an iPhone 2g running firmware 3.0 for quite some time now. I have upgraded many times and used quickpwn and redsnow many times to unlock my iPhone.

    I have a major problem and was hoping you might have an answer. I need to upgrade to 3.1.3 as I am having issues with my iPhone not connecting to itunes. My sleep/wake button is broken and I can’t seem to get it fixed.

    Is there a way to upgrade to 3.1.3 without using the power button?

      You could try a few things

      Try deleting the .001 after the .zip and then unzip the file.

      If it doesn’t work, .001 usually means a split file or an archive, so try unzipping with winrar or hjsplit.

    I’m asking because all Ultrasn0w tutorials I’ve seen revolve around installing Ultrasn0w in Cydia and then rebooting the phone…but I’ve already done this with 3.0…

    The links are totally broken. First off, it took me about an hour and a half waiting to get all 3 parts of the download. Secondly, WinRAR isn’t recognizing the .001, .002, or .003 endings. I tried changing the name to just .zip, but the files were said to be corrupted. please help by putting them up on some other website or something.

      use a software called HJsplit – open – join – input – select file with .001 extension. it will do the rest if other files
      (002 and 003) are in the same directory. then use winrar to extract the newly joint file

    i installed the new release of iREB and it worked well and my iphone 3g 3.1.3 turned green in color according to description.
    When i try restoring custom firmware (3.1.3) via itunes it gets stuck in the process of restoring firwmware and my iphone screen gets a logo of itunes and cable means its in the restore mode then error pops up “1603″. It shouldnt have poped up as i already used iREB.
    Please help its more than 12 hours for me to get stuck on this thing.. (

      listen mate
      the 1600 error will go away open itunes turn ur phone off
      press home + sleep key for 10 sec then leave sleep key and keep holding the home key
      then itunes will ask u phone in recovery mode

      then open ur taskmanager and kill the ipodservice
      if that will be running i will never be able to restore

    just to let the readers know i was able to successfully download the IPhone 3G Custom Firmware 3.1.3 IPSW Activated (for UnOfficial Carrier Users) – join it with StuffIt Expander for Mac. Then use iTunes to restore on my iPhone 3g. I was earlier running iOS 4.2.1 using baseband 6.15 and iPhone became slow. Restoring 3.1.3 back made it a little faster.

    hi everyone – I have a iPhone 2g, 1.1.4, 04.04.05 baseband jb’d with iliberty (downgraded/restored from 3.1.3, 5.11.04 bb, to get my WIFI back)
    I got my wifi back! BUT, I’m afraid to upgrade back to 3.1.3 – I don’t want to lose baseband and wifi again.
    How can I upgrade to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 and keep my baseband?
    Any help? I’m a noob by far but can follow instructions (no experience with verbose, only programs, please)

      UUgh – I boot nuetered FB at 3.9, then tried to go back to 3.1.3 – it worked! But, now I have jb/ul 3.1.3 at 04.05.04 modem again! (Sorry I don’t know why it says 5.11.04bb on my last post – I had 04.05.04 and 3.1.2 to begin with).

      All that trouble, when I lost WIFI after updating my iphone 2g 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 in iTunes,I lost my wifi and after much trial and error was able to downgrade to 1.1.4 and 4.04.05 bb )iliberty + “Xiphone” method) and my wifi was working fine! But, no mms, vid camera, etc – so I wanted 3.1.3 back, got it back on FB’d 3.6 bootloader – jb’d with redsn0w 9.4 on 3.1.2 fw – now have jailbroken/unlocked 3.1.3 with 4.05.04 again – BUT NO WIFI. I’m so pissed.

        sorry, did it again, I mean its FB’d at 3.9 bootloader (not 3.6)
        Any ideas on how to get the 4.04.05 (working wifi modem fw) to stay with 3.1.2/3 on iPhone 2g (originalmodel A1203).

    i have a iphone 3g from the usa and i tryied to jailbreak it so i can unlock it,but i did something wrong and know i dont have a modem firmware (its blank) and no wifi.
    how can i fix it?
