    hi,
I’ve been having some issues here with the wifi.
I did a full restore from a custom ipsw prior to jailbreaking with blacksn0w and unblocking with blacksn0w and my wifi worked fine. since i jailbroken the iphone and unlocked it, the wifi worked for 24 hours and stopped working.
i’ve done a restore, wifi still not working, i even done a restore from apple official update and wifi is still not working.
i wanna know if someone managed to fix this issue.
yes, i’ve done a network reset, done a reset for all settings and the damn thing is still not working.
i think that the only way to connect to the web, so cydia updates iphone and install the push fix http://cydia.iphoneil.net is to get an 02 sim car with internet and update it that way and it’s gonna be a pain.
    cheers

my ip address seems to be different from what i should be getting assigned to the iphone by the router, it’s 169.254.66.44 when i know that my range should be 192.168.*.*
it’s like my iphone is being access via my router by someone somewhere in the world?????!!!!
    What is going on?

    • DG 3 December 2009 at 9:52 pm #

169.254.*.* means that you are denied access to your router and not necessarily someone from the “world” accessing it.

When I try to add cydia.iphoneil.net to my sources, I always get a message that says “did not find repository”. anyone else get this msg and know how to add the push fix????

It’s there. Just be sure you are typing everything correctly (i.e. not “cyndia”or “cynda” etc.) Hope this helps!

“IPhone 3GS RUNNING ON T-MOBILE CARRIER”

LIKE EVERY BODY ELSE I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY WIFI AFTER UNLOCKING WITH BLACKSN0W. HOWEVER THE PUSH FIX SORTED MY WIFI ISSUES AND NOW THE ISSUE I’M HAVING IS THAT EVERY TIME I TURN OFF MY PHONE WHEN IT COMES BACK ON IT GIVES ME THE CONNECT TO ITUNES PICTURE MESSAGE. SO I HAVE TO RERUN BLACKRA1N EVERY TIME IN ORDER TO REBOOT MY PHONE. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE AND IF SO IS THERE ANY THING I CAN DO TO CORRECT THIS NEW PROBLEM? THANKING YOU ALL IN ADVANCED.

    • iPhoneHeat 16 November 2009 at 12:53 pm #

You must have purchased 3GS after September.. new units are tethered jailbreak only. every time you reboot >> you need to rerun blackra1n

it is called now “push notification fix”

    • didithu 17 February 2010 at 5:45 pm #

It doesn’t exist neither. Vanished completely, we do not know why. Can anyone confirm by another source?

  8. crazyfool 8 March 2010 at 9:03 pm #

Yeah.. i wouldnt reset your network settings like this suggests. I did that to fix my wifi issue and the phone restarted and got stuck in a boot loop . I had to restore but now blacksn0w no longer unlocks the iphone (3gs 3.1.2) but instead just freezes the phone and goes into a boot loop again. Now I can no longer unlock it because I reset my network settings. Good luck.

Every solution to the WiFi/TouTube problem involves downloading from Cydia. My 3GS is jailbroken but does not have Cydia or Installer. I could restore the phone to its original state, but that would also install 3.1.3 for which there is as yet no jailbreak, and, therefore no chance of installing Cydia.

How then can I install Cydia on my iPhone?

    • iPhoneHeat 9 March 2010 at 4:15 pm #

just forget it for the time being (best option for 3GS users) if you depend on unlock :)
+ new bootrom 3GS can’t be jailbroken as well.

Purchased Iphone 32gb yesterday. Jailbroke (blackra1n), unlocked (blacksn0w). Followed your instructions to get wifi, youtube. Got wifi, youtube worked but still no GPS. I have data plan with T-Mobile, however after jailbroken phone does not recognized data plan service. Next to T-mobile logo shows “E” if I turn off wifi. Can I still get Edge or 3g connection? And how? THanks.

  15. dominikmjm 9 November 2009 at 2:16 am #

Same here :/ No push fix on this source anymore… Where can I find it?

  16. iPhoneHeat 14 December 2009 at 4:43 am #

You can either use WiFi or Edge at a time..
