I have upgraded to 3.1.2 /05.11.07/ and i used blacksnow
but my wifi isnt working. Wifi scans for hotspots but cant find any spots. “Reset network settings” and turning on and of wifi is not working. Due to this probloem i cant unlock via blacksnow, because blacksnow using wifi after reboot.

This wifi was working on 2.1 and 2.0. Should i downgrade to 2.x vers ???

ok..but if i install winterboard..it need to reboot the iphone..so how can i install winterboard without reboot my device..???

each iDevice is hackable to date..
however latest iTouch and 3GS units purchased after September supports tether jailbreak only.. which means on reboot you’ll lose jailbreak

Just bought the iPhone 3gs 32Gb from Att yesterday. Out of the box, it has 3.1 with “Modem Firmware” 05.11.07 (I assume that is the same as the Baseband?) Anyway, should I update to 3.1.2 before jailbreaking and unlocking?

I did the above on a 3GS with 3.1 out of the box with 5.11.07 baseband

All worked fine – go the Wifi problem which i did the reset network setting to solve.

NOw i have another problem. The phone keeps going to “No Sim” where it is supposed to have bars. It does that frequently and comes back by itself. I have disabled 3G but that did not fix it.

I am using Etisalat Sim – Dubai

Hi:

I have done this. Thanks.
Once I have installed Cydia it has come up well.

After this I have some issues.

I am able to successfully install apps from Cydia but unable to view the icons on the sprintboard. Any suggestions?

I see black icon spaces in this springboard and nothing happens when I click them. However, if I search the app through spotlight I can see the Icon and open the app and it works!

Any help
