        • vanspey 17 November 2009 at 1:40 am #

I did get mine to install. MMS looked just like on other phones, but the APN? was not filled in. I tried and tried to get it to work, sent e-mail to the folks at Sinfulliphone but not luck. After unlocking my batt life was shit less then 2 hours using it. Batt would go down in standby. I then relocked it till I hear from someone.

  7. arikomagic 19 November 2009 at 5:18 pm #

  8. arikomagic 19 November 2009 at 5:20 pm #

If you type the same APN setting on MMS as on cellular data, it will save. Just a constatation, did help me receive MMS but not send.

  9. romario 30 December 2009 at 6:15 pm #

Just try to reset the setting , and work.
    Can send MMS.

Setting > General > Cellular Data Netwrok

    Tap on Reset Setting

The MMS save, but cellular data become default

Does anyone know the settings to use for AT&T?

  11. Scott 20 January 2010 at 3:51 am #

I’m pretty sure att knows when you are using the 2g iphone. As soon as it is recognized, MMS is immediately blocked. I know this because when i swapped the sim from my nokia, I was able to get 1 MMS message to go through. However, after that nothing worked again.

  12. neil 23 January 2010 at 10:13 am #

got it to work..but i cannot receive..any ideas????

  13. BowBowX 25 January 2010 at 12:29 pm #

Followed the instructed and installed everything. Camera icon and MMS setting showed OK. However, the MMS APN will NOT save unless it matchs to the internet APN. I’m currently using T-mobil; the internet APN is: internet2.voicestream.com

    MMS setting I have:

    MMS apn: wap.voicestream.com
    MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
    proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080

if i set the the apn to wap.voicestream.com, MMS works fine, but then internet will not work since it needs to be set to internet2.voicestream.com. If APN are set to different value, the MMS APN will simply disappear.

    Any fix yet?

    • tman 31 March 2010 at 5:32 am #

      MMS apn: internet2.voicestream.com
      MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
      proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080

Set APN and MMS APN to internet2.voicestream.com

  14. jeff 13 March 2010 at 1:30 pm #

has anyone tried this on 3.1.3 yet? I had to upgrade to it so i could get wifi to finally work again. everything works fine on 3.1.3 except native mms?

  15. j2innet 14 March 2010 at 1:35 am #

MMS Native for 2G is not working. BS.

TRY MMS Enable for 2G 3.1.2 seems ok.

    Good luck.

  16. tman 31 March 2010 at 5:31 am #

    MMS apn: internet2.voicestream.com
    MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
    proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080

Set APN and MMS APN to internet2.voicestream.com

  17. blahblah.2 9 May 2010 at 3:09 am #

i get teh camera icon in the left corner and i have both APNs set to internet2.voicestream.com, but my pictures won’t send.
    any solution?

  18. Synapses11 8 July 2010 at 3:47 am #

Worked like a charm first time around. I put in the MMS APN as the same as the APN to internet2 and both my data and now MMS works fine for receiving and sending. I’ve been going crazy about this. Thanks so much. 2G Iphone on 3.1.2 Tmobile with Tzones data

hi synapses – what are your settings? im still trying to get mine to work. TIA!

  19. moviefan 29 July 2010 at 5:08 am #

I installed it exactly per instructions and it loaded fine. Cannot send pic though, as it hangs up about 95% through the sending bar at top. What gives??

  20. vafatara 7 August 2010 at 8:56 pm #

    Hello,
i don’t get a camera icon on my native sms app. Could someone please tell me what could be wrong. i followed exactly the instruction but no sign of the icon. Plus, i also can’t save the APN, password and …
    i’ll really appreciate any suggestion.

  21. cool 16 August 2010 at 4:21 am #

synapses, what are your exact settings? I am using the following settings:

APN: internet2.voicestream.com (for Cell and MMS)
    MMSC: mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/ms/wapenc
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050:8080
    MMS Max Message Size: 1048576
    MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

At first I used as MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms, but I was not able to send or receive photos. I changed it to mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/ms/wapenc and I was able to send, but still cannot receive.

Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

    Cool

  22. cool 17 August 2010 at 5:40 am #

I see Native MMS is back. A couple months ago it wasn’t there. Then in July I downloaded Legacy thru Cydia on my old 2G and set it up that way. Now Legacy is gone but I noticed Native MMS is back! Oh well whatever works! Installed it on my new 3.1.2 2G and it’s working great.
