Power Off, Restart and Respring Your iPhone/iTouch with GPower

Gpower is a new iPhone/iTouch tweak available in Cydia which gives you three options instead of one when you press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds. Three options are:

  • Slide To Power Off
  • Slide To Reboot
  • Slide To Respring

How to Install GPower:

  • Launch the Cydia.
  • Go to Search Tab at bottom and search for GPower.
  • Tap to select GPower and then Install GPower.

Now whenever you will press and hold power button, two extra options will appear:

  • Green for Restart
  • Gray for Respring

guys, thanks for the effort for providing many useful and fun tweaks, However, after installing the Gpower I faced two problems

1. I don’t see the option slide to reboot, or power off, instead I’ve to tap to power off.

2. which I think is a big issue is that I select any of the option for 10 or 20 second, for a while the phone gets frozen and doesn’t operate.

let me know if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

cheers,

I found that the respring and power off work, however restart makes my touch hang for like 30 seconds and then turn off. No harm done really, but is there any way to uninstall the application?

You can uninstall it from:
cydia> manage> packages

Ah, very good. Thanks. I’m still learning all the wonders of Cydia and the like.

Hi, I recently updated my iphone to FW 3.1 but gPower is not working properly. Reboot is not working but respring does. Previously it is working wonderfully with FW 3.0. Does gPower not compatible with FW3.1? any ideas please?

Thanks!

Here with FW3.1.2 on a iPod 1st gen, Cydia tells me that cannot install GPower because it requires FW<=3.1.

Try installing Gpower with Rock instead of Cydia. I managed to get it working with 3.1.2 on iPhone 3G.
