iPhone OS 3.0 for iPhone 3G S Already Available for Download

iPhone OS 3.0 for iPhone 3GS is already available for download on Apple’s Website here:

iPhone2, 1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw

This iPhone OS 3.0 is only for iPhone 3G S and cannot be installed on iPhone 3G or the original iPhone. How we know that? Every iPhone firmware file (.ipsw) is named with device code and in the above link you can see that it’s iPhone2,1 which means it’s for iPhone 3GS only.  So don’t waste your time downloading it and trying to install it on your iPhone 3G or original iPhone.
