I found the link that you attached. My iphone 2G is already unlocked and my current carrier is T-Mobile. Which firmware should I download? The Activated or Not Activated? Sorry, I did not understand what it meant by official carrier.

ur iPhone model?
if it’s 3G or 2G I strongly recommend you to update your firmware to 3.1.2… Use a custom firmware 3.1.2 (can be found here: http://www.iphoneheat.com/2009/10/download-iphone-os-3-1-2-custom-firmware-ipsw-files-for-iphone-3gs-3g-2g/)
just make sure to update to 3.1.2… NOT 3.1.3

In the last step of jail break after it waits to go to recovery mode, it is not working. It keeps at same step till long with no error or any message.
Please let me know what needs to be done

I did the first step and is not working. Before restoring with iPhone1,1_2.2.1_5H11_Restore.ipsw, I restored my iPhone manually. Then, I tried to restore it with iPhone1,1_2.2.1_5H11_Restore.ipsw, it says that an error has occurred and I can’t even proceed to the following steps. What did I do wrong?

Thanks a lot! My boyfriend had to jailbreak his little brothers iphone. He eventually couldn’t do it and gave up. I decided to do a little searching and thanks to you… this was a piece of cake! Kudos man!!!
